Website launch!

website-mockup.jpg

Having had the idea to start creating a website for BRAWSCOTLAND in the beginning of 2020,
it soon became a bit more of a challenge than I'd realised.

My computer wasn't working and needed to be repaired. Lockdown happened and it was therefore impossible to get the job done. There were far more important things going on and it was, and still is very important for us all to stay safe. But being curtailed with all the ideas I had in mind for the website and being locked up at home and unable to work out my plan was a bit disappointing.

In the first week of July after the main travel restrictions were eased, I found the courage to leave my hometown for the first time in six weeks, and crossed the Forth Bridge to visit a computer repair shop in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.

In normal circumstances it would only take a day or two for a repair but just like everything not being normal this year, it could take a little longer than usual.

Over two (!) months later I got a message that the laptop was repaired and ready for collection. Let's just say it was a very difficult repair… But hey! I’m very happy it's working! I already gave up the idea of the possibility for a repair and here I am typing my very first blog for the website I’ve been working on over the last two weeks.

You can expect in the future more blogs on a regular basis about my photography and travels through Scotland.

Beside my blog, you’ll find my latest work in the galleries which are also available as prints!

A few prints are available in the (growing) webshop but any image you find in the galleries is available as a print upon request.

As well as creating the website I was also working on my first photo calendar!

This A3 wall calendar for 2021 features some of my favourite shots from my first year living in Scotland. With every calendar sold, £1 will be donated to the RNLI, whose vital work I have witnessed several times this year from my local beach.

I’m pleased with the first results of the website and very excited to finally have it launched. And I hope you are too. I appreciate your opinion and I’m curious about your first impressions of the website. I believe there's always room for improvement and I’m open to any feedback you have for me so don’t hesitate to leave a comment down below.

Thank you for reading.
